Local authorities confirm that at least 1,200 Nepalis leave the country every day to study and work in other countries. Many say that they would stay in Nepal if there were more opportunities to advance. Critics say this brain drain will negatively affect Nepal in numerous social ways, including care of aging Nepalis.
