The initiation of the Central Engineering College (CEC) in Janakpur under the Purbanchal University. P.U and CTEVT can be considered as a revolutionary step towards meeting the demand of technical manpower in the field of technical for the development of the nation.
Central Enginnering College is located about 2KM, West of Janaki temple spreading on 21 Katha of Land in beatiful Place.
The CEC in Janakpur of P.U. started from 2009 with assistance from the NEPAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE 'P' LTD estd 2053 B.s. (NTI) and finance. Initially various courses are also ffered at (NTI) along with diploma in Civil Electical affiliated to CTEVT. At present it is offering Bachelor course in Civil Engineering- 4 years by Purbanchal University (P.U.) from the academic year 2066.
Most worth mentioning the Bachelor level in Civil - 4 Years program is starting this year.
