Eastern College of Engineering is run by three leading business houses (Vishal Group, Rathi Group and Debenara Group) of eastern Nepal who jointly held a hand to strengthen, uplift & impart modern education system. Eastern College of Engineering is affiliated to Purbanchal University. Biratnagar and recognized by Nepal Engineering Council. It boasts of its students who have topped among all the affiliated colleges.

Eastern College of Engineering is located in the heart of business center of Eastern Nepal (Biratnagar). It was founded in the year 2000 AD. The institute is approximately 1 KM away from airport & 7 KM away from the nearest Indian railway station (Jogbani, Bihar).
