The British School believes that a strong emphasis on ICT within lessons helps students be prepared for the modern world and as such it has invested in two excellent ICT suites within the school. The suites contain PC’s which are more than capable of dealing with modern day applications and multitasking. TBS has also invested in a host of laptops, so that students and teachers are not just restricted to the suites to use ICT in their lessons. In order to support the use of laptops most of the school is now covered by a wireless system which enables the laptops to connect to the schools network and the Internet.
TBS has a library which is very well resourced and is always being actively used by students and teachers. The library also has a suite of computers connected to the Internet that allows students to do research. In addition the library has a video suite, where teachers and students can watch educational films.
Almost unique to Nepal, TBS has a five a side football pitch which is covered by astro turf and is netted. This gives excellent provision to students to enhance their football skills all year round despite the monsoons. The pitch is multifunctional as it can also be used for a variety of other activities such as cricket, circuit training, bleep tests etc.
The school also boasts a hard court with eight basketball hoops. Once again this is a multifunctional area that lends itself to many sports.
Next to the hard court, TBS has invested in several table tennis tables which are very popular both in and out of lessons.
