Bachelor in Development Finance (BDFin) is a four year, (eight- semester) professional program. This is yet another innovative program, which has been conceived and offered by National College, Center for Development Studies since 2006.
The Financial sectors in Nepal have grown rapidly with large number of banks, insurance companies and financial cooperatives in recent years. As a member of World Trade Organization (WTO), Nepal is required to open the doors for international development, financial institutions from 2010. The microfinance, cooperatives and micro-enterprises are yet other emerging sectors in developing nations. Along with the growth in these sectors, the requirement of a large number of professional and skilled manpower has also been increased.
The Development Finance course aims to enhance students’ capacity to understand the meaning of financial development in a sustainable way. This program is also interdisciplinary, incorporating concepts and approaches from Economics, Finance, Development and Management.
