The Bachelor of Civil Engineering is designed to produce engineers who are capable of designing, planning and executing construction of infrastructures. Civil Engineering, considered one of the oldest engineering disciplines, encompasses many specialties. The major specialties within civil engineering and structural, water resources, environmental, construction, transportation and geotechnical engineering.


BE Civil is a four-year (eight semesters), 194 credit hours academic program that incorporates intensive laboratory assignments to give enough exposure and experience with the state-of-the-art facilities and tools.

Career Options:
Spurred by general population growth and an increased emphasis on infrastructure and security, more civil engineers will be needed to design and construct safe and higher capacity transportation, water supply and pollution control systems and large buildings and building complexes. They also will be needed to repair or replace existing roads, bridges and other public structures.
Civil engineers are employed by firms providing architectural, engineering and related services, primarily developing designs for new construction projects. They may also work in consultancy, research and teaching.

Objectives:
