Eligibility

Nepalese Candidate

1. Candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for PG entrance examination for admission to MDS.

a. less than 45 years of age on the last day of submission of completed application form.

b. with BDS or equivalent degree, and who have completed one year of internship.

c. Registered with Nepal Medical Council (NMC).

d. One year work experience after the completion of the internship.

Entrance examination

The Entrance Examination consists of 200 single response multiple choice questions carrying 200 marks covering all the undergraduate dental (BDS) subjects. The duration of the examination is 3 hours.

1. Cut-off mark: Candidates who secures at least 40 % marks (cut-off point) in the Entrance Examination will be eligible for the counseling according to their merit list.

2. Counseling: The candidates will be called for counseling on the basis of merit which will be drawn from the final score (maximum marks 210), i.e., a total of Entrance Examination score (200) and service marks (10).

Candidates on top of the merit list will be given first preference to choose a discipline available in MDS program.

4. Candidates must present for the counseling with their original certificates/documents.

5. All the required original certificates and documents will be verified and the selected candidates have to deposit them to the Institute for admission at the time of counseling and he/she has to give written Confirmation of Subject for Admission.

6. Candidate who give written Confirmation of Subject for Admission by depositing required original certificates and wants to cancel admission will have to pay penalty of Rs. 5,00,000.00.
