The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) today unlocked the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) after Education Minister Dina Nath Sharma pledged to publicise the report on fee structures of the CTEVT-affiliated nursing colleges within 15 days.
The CPN-UML-aligned student union said in a press release that the education minister has also agreed to act on the report from the next academic session. The union is to form a team within 15 days to monitor the nursing colleges.
The ANNFSU had padlocked the CTEVT for a month demanding the publication of the nursing colleges’ report and improvement in the quality of education, among others.
ANNFSU also handed over 464,000 signatures of students and teachers, among others, to Minister Sharma against the
government decision to give plus-two-level equivalence certificate to those who have completed three-month, six-month and a yearlong courses from the New Delhi-based National Institute of Open Schooling.
