Suresh Raj Sharma appointed VC of Kathmandu University

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is also the chancellor of Kathmandu University (KU), has appointed Dr Suresh Raj Sharma as the vice chancellor of KU for the next four years. 

Dr Suresh Raj Sharma is a founding member of Kathmandu University. He has been serving the university as vice chancellor since 1991. 

A committee headed by Education Minister Dinanath Sharma, who is also the pro-chancellor of the KU, had proposed Dr Sharma´s name. Dr Sharma´s last tenure had expired on December 31. 

Having secured another term as the VC, Dr Sharma said that he would work harder in the days to come to achieve the university´s ultimate goal of producing capable workforce
