Southwestern State College (SWSC) of Nepal - promoted by a team of academia , researchers, planers, and professionals at national and international levels aim to provide quality education in Science, Management and Humanities at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It is under process for ISO of the world recognized organization. The College is planning to launch Post Graduate Diploma Management Courses in collaboration with the foreign Universities.
The promoters, from different walks of life and with years of excellence experiences in academic field as well as various professions, are managing the College. SWSC can play a vital role of bridging the gap between the national and international education system.

Location and Physical Facilities
Southwestern State college is located at Basundhara (close to Ring Road), Kathmandu. College premises have covered more than seven Ropanies of land with about 38,332, sq. ft. physical infrastructures with spacious greenery park and international standard basketball court.
Academic Facilities
Southwestern State College places great importance on the continuous improvement of its facilities for students both educational and social. It has one to one (student: computer) computer facilities with round clock internet access. The College has well-equipped library facilities with textbooks, research journals, academic materials and resources. It has also excellent separate laboratories for Science, Computer Science and Hotel Management.
Students Services
Southwestern State College as managed to open bank accounts to each student and thus to provide student loan for their further study. The college also has a wide range of scholarship and assistantship scheme for the deserving students. All students will receive a health insurance scheme. In addition to these, students will be encouraged to complete and submit their assignments through online. Moreover, the college has a system of providing students' profile on the online system so that parents can see their young's performance records through it.
Similarly, the college has a pick up and drop services for students from any corner of the Katmandu Valley by the college vehicles. We also provide separate hostels for boys and girls with reading facilities, good care, well discipline handled by experienced resource persons and staff. The hostel has a very spacious greenery view hygienic foods and snacks with self service.
Extracurricular Activities
Southwestern State College organizes a wide range of recreational activities such as basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, and badminton. Moreover, the college sponsors many extracurricular programs including inter and intra college competition especially in quiz context, poem, essay writing and debate which aim at enhancing students’ life at SWSC .The main aim is to inculcate a feeling of shared responsibilities whereby students can learn the importance of teamwork and a keen meaning of majority.
